CRUISE LINE OVERVIEW

Princess Cruises

Princess is for travelers who want a relaxed, polished cruise with good food, strong itineraries, and plenty for couples without the mega-ship chaos.

TRAVELER FIT

Is Princess Cruises right for you?

Solo travelers

6/10

Pleasant but rarely optimized for solo pricing.

PRODestination programming, enrichment, and double cruise credits can reward repeat solo guests.
CONLimited solo cabins and a couples-heavy demographic reduce both value and built-in community.

Families

7/10

Better for multigenerational families than thrill-seeking children.

PROKids clubs, movies, Alaska expertise, and manageable ships suit grandparents traveling with children.
CONFewer marquee attractions than Royal, Carnival, Disney, or MSC.

Couples

9/10

An easy, romantic premium fit.

PROAdult-friendly pools, Movies Under the Stars, destination depth, and traditional service work naturally for couples.
CONEvening entertainment can feel conventional rather than cutting-edge.

CRUISE LOYALTY

Captain’s Circle

Princess awards status by either completed cruises or cruise days, whichever reaches a tier first. Solo occupancy and full-suite bookings can earn double cruise credits, but not double days.

How you earn
  • Captain’s Circle tracks both completed cruises and cruise days; you qualify when either measure reaches the threshold.
  • A qualifying full-suite booking or eligible solo occupancy earns two cruise credits for that voyage, but cruise days are still the actual days sailed.
  • Status is cumulative and separate from Princess Players Club casino offers and Princess credit-card rewards.

Status levels and benefits

Gold

After the first cruise
  • Member pricing, recognition, and launch-day benefits.
  • Member pricing, loyalty communications, onboard recognition, and an entry benefit package.

Ruby

3 cruises or 30 days
  • Adds Princess Platinum Vacation Protection upgrade and onboard discounts.
  • Adds upgraded recognition and stronger Princess Vacation Protection pricing where available.

Platinum

5 cruises or 50 days
  • Priority check-in, internet package discounts, and preferred access.
  • Adds priority embarkation, internet-package savings, and Platinum/Elite lounge access on qualifying sailings.

Elite

15 cruises or 150 days
  • Priority tender and disembarkation, laundry and cleaning, minibar setup, and enhanced cabin amenities.
  • Adds a complimentary mini-bar setup, laundry and dry cleaning, priority tender/disembarkation, canapés, afternoon tea, and shoe-polishing services under current terms.

CASINO REWARDS

Princess Players Club

  • Enroll or identify yourself with the Medallion room card before every slot session and ask the dealer to rate every table session. Unrated play usually earns nothing.
  • Casino rating is based on theoretical play—the game, amount wagered, pace or hands, and time played—not simply how much cash you brought or whether you won.
  • Princess Players Club records machine and table activity and uses it for onboard comps and targeted Hearts, VIP, or Prestige offers; these offer labels are not a public lifetime status ladder.

How recognition works

Personalized recognition

No stable public tier chart is published.
  • Benefits may include FreePlay, drinks while playing, specialty dining, stateroom discounts or complimentary cabins, tournaments, and hosted casino events.
  • The host may apply earned comps to eligible onboard charges or issue FreePlay, but the method varies by sailing.
  • Future offers are targeted and may include discounted or complimentary cabins, tournaments, drinks while playing, or hosted events.
  • Taxes, port expenses, deposits, companion fares, and blackout rules can still apply to a complimentary-cabin offer.
